PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening apparatus achieving efficient operation at a low cost. SOLUTION: The opening apparatus includes holding means (bag stocker 100) for piling up and hold a plurality of long packing bags (chopstick bag 150), urging means (spring 300) for urging the plurality of long packing bags held with the holding means in the piling-up direction, opening means (opening claw 201) for forming a space so that a predetermined long object can be inserted from an opening in a state that the end of the opening means is inserted into the opening, and driving means (electric motor 600 or the like) for advancing and retreating the opening means relative to the opening and for bringing the end of the opening means into press-contact with the long packing bags, when the opening means advances into the opening and to release pressing and contacting at a retreated end position.
