<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic green sheet restrained in crack during punching process and high in mechanical strength, and method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This ceramic green sheet 3 is provided by bonding ceramic powder 1 with binder 2, binder 2 contains a first phase 2a which mainly contains modified polyvinyl butyral chain formed by bonding a polyvinyl butyral chain and a polyethylene chain and a second phase 2b which mainly contains an acrylic(methacrylic) polymer, the first phase 2a and the second phase 2b form a sea-island structure in which the first phase 2a is the sea and the second phase 2b is the island by a polymer reaction between a carboxyl group of maleic anhydride bonded to the polyethylene chain as a side chain in the first phase 2a and a functional group having an active hydrogen bonded to the end of the acrylic polymer or the methacrylic polymer in the second phase 2b.
