<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape library device in which such a state that a frequency of usage of a cleaning cartridge is not normally recorded can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The tape library device 30 includes a cleaning cartridge usage frequency managing means (a library controller 38). For each cleaning slot 35, the cleaning cartridge usage frequency managing means records as a second usage frequency, the frequency at which the cleaning cartridge 36 is conveyed by a robot 37 to a drive 39, reads out a present first usage frequency from the cleaning cartridge 36 attached to the drive 39, compares the first usage frequency and the second usage frequency with each other and when the comparison result shows inequality, determines abnormality of the first usage frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
