PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button switch device for a game machine which is configured to emit light toward a player in association with the vertical movement control between a projecting position and a retreating position into a game machine body according to the content of presentation, or the like of a game machine. SOLUTION: An upward beamαemitted from a first light emitter 305a is reflected by an inclined part of a reflection member 304a upward on the player's side. The player recognizes that a button part is located at the projecting position as the reflected beam is emitted to the outside through a side surface of a button 302. A lateral beamβemitted from the first light emitter 305a is uniformed by a light scattering optical region to be scattered toward the player's side. The irradiation light from a third light emitter 305c penetrates the crown of the button 302 as an upward beamγ, further penetrating the crown of a button cover having optical transparency fitted to the outside of the button 302 to be emitted outward.
