PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding roller capable of making compatible suppressing reduction in paper feeding performance due to attachment of paper powder and suppressing failure of paper feed. SOLUTION: This paper feeding roller 10 includes a shaft body 12 and an elastic layer 14 formed on the outer periphery of the shaft body and having a fine recess-projection part by a crimp shape on its surface. The elastic layer 14 includes non-groove parts 18a and 18b having no groove, formed in both end parts in the roller axis direction and a groove part 16 formed between the non-groove parts 18a and 18b of both end parts and forming grooves 16a extending in the roller axis direction in a plurality in the peripheral direction.
