PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an exposure dose in obtaining tomographic images synchronized with respiration. SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus reconstitutes the tomographic images of at least one respiration period by synchronizing with the respiration of a subject, which is acquired by a respirometer. When the respiration of the subject in acquiring projection data is shallow, only the projection data in a respiration phase range corresponding to a respiration part deeper than this time is additionally acquired. Then, the tomographic images synchronized with the normal respiration are reconstituted on the basis of the additionally acquired projection data and the previously acquired projection data. Thus, the exposure dose of the subject is reduced by additionally acquiring the projection data of only an insufficient phase range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
