<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight hood lock device for a vehicle, which has high strength and durability, is excellent in workability, and achieves cost reduction and excellent operability and safety by enabling commonality of primary members. <P>SOLUTION: This hood lock device for the vehicle is provided with a lock mechanism which locks a hood in a fully closed position while being engaged with a striker fixed to the hood by a latch turnably pivoted on a base plate, which maintains a half-open state in which the hood is slightly opened while being unlocked in the fully closed position, and which puts the hood into a fully opened state by unlocking the hood in a half-open position. Characteristically, a lock lever of the lock device has a hook lever portion and a safety lever portion integrally and continuously formed from a high-strength synthetic resin; and an operation portion with a flat surface is formed at the leading end of the safety lever portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
