<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion suitable for an inkjet process, to provide inkjet ink using the pigment dispersion, for remedying clogging of an inkjet head, giving high image density and showing excellent ink liquid storage stability, and to provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus using the ink. <P>SOLUTION: The pigment dispersion contains at least carbon black, water and a water-soluble organic titanium compound, wherein the water-soluble organic titanium compound is represented by general formula (1):(OH)<SB>2</SB>Ti[OCH(R)COOH]<SB>2</SB>(where R represents hydrogen or a methyl group), general formula (2):(OH)<SB>2</SB>Ti[OCH(R<SP>1</SP>)COO<SP>-</SP>]<SB>2</SB>(NH<SB>4</SB><SP>+</SP>)<SB>2</SB>(where R<SP>1</SP>represents hydrogen or a methyl group) or a general formula (3):(OR<SP>2</SP>)<SB>2</SB>Ti(C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>14</SB>O<SB>3</SB>N)<SB>2</SB>(where R<SP>2</SP>represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
