PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing apparatus efficiently and surely crush an object to be crushed. SOLUTION: The crushing apparatus includes: a pair of cutter belts 2, 3 which are formed by annularly connecting a plurality of plates 4, 5 having blades 4a, 5a on the front side, with the front side facing the outer periphery; and a drive unit for rotatably driving each cutter belt 2, 3. These cutter belts 2, 3 are provided with linear parts 2a, 3a and arranged with each linear part 2a, 3a exactly faced with each other, wherein objects to be crushed are crushed by being charged between the linear parts 2a, 3a. The crushing apparatus is characterized in that it includes an instrument for changing the length of the linear parts 2a, 3a in one or both of the two cutter belts 2, 3.
