PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of calculating the drawing resistance of a diameter-enlarged pile which improves the calculation accuracy of the drawing resistance of a diameter-enlarged pile, and also to provide a diameter-enlarged pile, a method of setting the arrangement of a diameter-enlarged pile, and a method of determining the quality of the installation of a diameter-enlarged pile. SOLUTION: In the method of calculating the drawing resistance P of a multi-stage diameter-enlarged pile 20 having a shaft part 22 buried in a ground 12 and a diameter-enlarged part 24 which is formed on the shaft part 22 in the axial direction and the diameter of which is larger than the diameter of the shaft part 22, the weight of a resistant soil lump G around the diameter-enlarged part 24 is obtained assuming that the direction in which the resistant soil lump G is displaced is a direction tilted relative to the vertical direction (displacing directionα), and the drawing resistance P is obtained. By calculating the drawing resistance P in consideration of the displacing directionαof the resistant soil lump G, the result of the calculation provides a value near the result of a site loading test, improving the calculation accuracy of the drawing resistance P of the multi-stage diameter-enlarged pile 20.
