A seaming tape for joining pieces of floor-covering together, such as carpet or resilient floor covering material, comprises an upper mesh tape portion 12 and a lower blocking tape portion 14 that is narrower in width than the mesh tape portion. The mesh tape portion can further include a pressure-sensitive adhesive to hold the blocking tape portion in position. A kit for installing the seaming tape comprises seaming tape and a marking tool. A method for seaming abutting pieces of floor covering comprises placing one of the pieces of floor covering, marking a guide line, placing a length of seaming tape along the guide line, placing the other side by side piece of floor covering, dispensing seaming adhesive along the abutting edges and pressing the abutting edges against each other. |
