Safety element with a display element

The element has a display element for non-resettable visual display of information and comprising volumes (1, 2) fluidically connected with each other by a channel (3). An electrically controllable electrode (4) is attached to one of the volumes, and varies surface voltage of fluid (5) in the associated volume by supplying electric voltage. An electrically conductive portion of the fluid is completely or stably held in both the volumes. A polar portion of the fluid and/or the electrically conductive portion are irreversibly and partially movable due to loading of the electrode in the volume. The information can be symbol or word.
