<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secure closed network authentication and an authentication method with less burden on users. <P>SOLUTION: A user H carries a cellular phone 7. A communication path is secured between the cellular phone 7 and an input device (mouse or keyboard) 3a, 3b of a personal computer 1 by communication through human body. In network authentication, two routes (using the Internet and a mobile telephone network) are used for the authentication. A second route (route B) is used for the authentication without supplying an ID or password to a content route (route A) which requests the authentication. Via the route A, a server 21 is connected to an associated computer 17 through the Internet 15.
