PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with which a moving person can easily recognizes the existence and content of an image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 displays the image (g) by scanning light on a plotting region formed on a display face 91, and includes: a projector 2 configured to be able to vary the position of the plotting region; a detection means 7 which detects the existence/nonexistence of a person in a detection region set in the vicinity of the display face 91 and detects the motion of the person when the person exists in the detection region; and a control means 8 which controls the driving of the projector 2 on the basis of the detected result by the detection means 7.
