PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform ultrasonic inspection on the reverse side form of a weld. SOLUTION: A water immersion aperture synthesis is performed considering refraction of ultrasonic waves at the interface of an acoustic medium 22 such as water and an inspection target part (weld 10, welded materials 1, 2). In other words, a large number of focused points is set in an inspection region including the reverse side 12. Amplitude values when reflecting at the focused points are added out of detection signals d1-d6 obtained by the ultrasonic inspection, and an overall amplitude value is determined for each focused point.
