PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus including a slim gantry, and configured to hardly scatter abrasion powder of a driving belt. SOLUTION: A rotary part 40 rotates with an X-ray tube 51 mounted therein. A frame 30 rotatably supports the rotary part 40. The frame 30 has an opening, and a large pulley 6 is disposed within the opening. The frame 30 has an internal space, and a small pulley is disposed in the internal space of the frame 30. The driving belt 7 is disposed in a space enclosed by the frame 30 and the large pulley 6. The slim frame 30 can be achieved with this structure, and abrasion powder of the driving belt 7 hardly scatters. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
