PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe power collector for a railroad car which prevents an electric shock accident even when employing a third-rail system. SOLUTION: The outer surface of a third-rail 3, except the back surface of an upper flange 31a, is insulation-protected with an insulating portion 32. A power collector 1 is disposed under a carriage 2 so that a pair of collector shoes 12 comes into contact with and slide over aerial lines 4 suspended to be bilaterally symmetric from the back surface of the upper flange 31a.
