PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a patient's vaginal wall and reduce pain when inserting or extracting a pessary or using it for a long period of time; and to prevent the pessary from easily escaping outside the vagina by the abdominal pressure of the patient. SOLUTION: This pessary 10 for treatment of the prolapsus uteri includes a cylindrical and thin sheet member 11 which is non-deformable in the axial direction and deformable in the radial direction. The thin sheet member 11 is composed of a plurality of metal pieces 13 which are discontinuously provided in the circumferential direction at predetermined-length clearance 12 spaced therebetween, and a silicon 14 continuously provided in the circumferential direction so as to coat the respective metal pieces 13, wherein silicones 14a provided at the clearances 12 are deformable in the radial direction.
