PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tipped saw obtaining stable cutting performance over a long period of time and environmentally desirable in a resource environment, a working environment, etc., by minimizing the size of a carbide tip. SOLUTION: A cutting edge provided at the outer peripheral edge of a disc-like base metal includes a base metal cutting edge part formed in a tip shape having a cutting face and a tip face by heat-treating the base metal itself, and the carbide tip brazed to a tip sticking part at the tip of the base metal cutting edge part so that its cutting face and tip face are formed on a substantially straight line with the cutting face and tip face of the base metal cutting edge part. The adjacent base metal cutting edge parts of the cutting edge are alternately formed projecting in a predetermined set dimension with respect to both side faces of the base metal, and the projecting faces of the respective base metal cutting edge parts are formed of polished surfaces parallel with both side faces of the base metal, and the non-projecting faces are formed of non-polished surfaces.
