PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auto-choke device for a carburetor able to exert the choke function properly in accordance with the warmed-up condition of an engine without involving a rise of the cost or restriction on the layout. SOLUTION: The auto-choke device is equipped with choke valves 32, negative pressure introducing pipes 36a, 36b, 36c extended from a suction passage 2 for forming a negative pressure introduction passage, and a complete combustion valve opening mechanism 33 as negative pressure actuator connected with the pipe terminations and working with a change of the suction negative pressure for opening and closing the choke valves 32, and performs such a procedure that the choke valve(s) 32 closed when the engine starts is opened by the complete combustion valve opening mechanism 33 which is actuated by an increase in the suction negative pressure after the engine start, in which an opening/closing valve 35a of thermo-sensitive type for opening and closing the negative pressure introduction passage is installed at the negative pressure introducing pipe 36c on its upstream side of the complete combustion valve opening mechanism 33, wherein the complete combustion valve opening mechanism 33 is arranged as able to be actuated by opening the opening/closing valve 35a only when warming-up has proceeded to a specified level or above.
