PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methacrylic resin composition suitable for thermal welding of a molding. SOLUTION: The methacrylic resin composition contains 0.05-0.5 pt.wt. of a specific weld improver (B) based on 100 pts.wt. of a methacrylic resin (A). The methacrylic resin includes 80-99.5 wt.% of a methyl methacrylate monomer unit and 0.5-20 wt.% of at least one other vinyl monomer unit copolymerizable with the methyl methacrylate and has a weight-average molecular weight measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) of 60,000-230,000. A component having a weight-average molecular weight no more than 1/5 of the peak weight-average molecular weight (Mp) obtained from the GPC elution curve is contained in an amount of 7-30% based on the methacrylic resin component.
