PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current adjusting method of a thermal over current relay increased in current adjusting accuracy. SOLUTION: The method includes the bimetal bending and displacing step of bending and displacing a bimetal 3 with heat, the interlocking plate and reverse mechanism abutting step of rotationally moving the position of the reverse mechanism 20 to bring the interlocking plate 5 which is moved by bending and displacing the bimetal into abutment on the reverse mechanism 20, the zero-point tripping step of operating an adjusting mechanism 21 from a state that the interlocking plate 5 abuts on the reverse mechanism 20 to rotationally move the position of the reverse mechanism 20 to a position where the reverse mechanism 20 performs tripping and calculating the position as a zero-point trip position, and the reverse mechanism positioning step of determining the position of the reverse mechanism 20 based on the zero-point trip position.
