<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system for reliably managing the management information of a printer in a server. <P>SOLUTION: The management information generating part 12 of the printer P generates information expressing the usage state of the printer P as management information. The management information previously includes the usage state after the generation of the management information. When the transmission request of a management information file is received from a terminal T, the management information generating part 12 of the printer P generates the file name of the management information file based on the time of reception. When the generated file name is the same as the file name of the management information file generated immediately before, the management information generating part 12 generates the management information file by defining the file name based on a time after the passage of a prescribed time as the file name of the management information file.
