<p>Disclosed is a lockup device for a torque converter with high design flexibility. The lockup device (7) is equipped with an input rotating member (71), an output rotating member (73), an elastic member (74) and a support member (75). The elastic member (74) elastically connects the input rotating member (71) and the output rotating member (73) in the direction of rotation. The support member (75) is disposed rotatably relative to the input rotating member (71) and the output rotating member (73). The support member (75) is comprised of a support part (175) which supports the elastic member (74) and an engaging member (275) which engages with the elastic member (74) in the direction of rotation. Here, the support part (175) of the support member (75) is provided with a peripheral support part (175a) which supports the peripheral side of the elastic member (74). Further, the peripheral end of the peripheral support part (175a) moves away from the engaging part in the direction of rotation such that the curvature thereof becomes continuously smaller therewith.</p> |
