PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a blower, in which an air inlet is formed in a side wall of a case and a filter is disposed therebelow, into an entirely compact blower; and to reduce noise and airflow resistance by allowing air taken in through the inlet to smoothly pass through the filter. SOLUTION: The blower 1 includes: a fan 10; the filter 13 for filtering the air; and the case 11 storing the fan 10 and the filter 13 and having the air inlet 16a formed therein. The air is taken in through the air inlet 16a and is sent after filtration through the filter 13. The air inlet 16a is formed in a rear wall portion 11d of the case 11. The filter 13 is extended from the rear part to the front part of the case 11, and is arranged so that the front part of the filter 13 is located closer to the downstream side of the air flow than the rear part thereof.
