PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception method which reduces the throughput and makes reception processings parallel-processed. SOLUTION: In a receiver for determining a transmitted signal, based on signals received by first and second reception antennas, a channel matrix is generated based on a known signal, and an inverse matrix is generated. The corresponding first and second reception signal points are multiplied by the inverse matrix, and converted reception signal points are generated. Based on the converted first reception signal point, one or a plurality of respective first transmission signal candidate points are selected, and distance to the first reception signal point is operated. One or a plurality of second transmission signal candidate points are selected based on the converted second reception signal point, and distance to the second reception signal point is operated. The entire distance is operated based on one or a plurality of distances outputted from each of the first and second operation units and each component of the channel matrix, and the first and second transmission signal candidate points, where the entire distance satisfies prescribed conditions are determined to be transmission signal points corresponding to the first and second transmission signals.
