<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which deteriorated toner produced by being stirred for a long period of time in a developing device is effectively and efficiently replaced with new toner. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a supply means 20 which supplies toner to the developing device 10; a developing sleeve 13; a holding means 2 which electrically attracts and holds reversely electrified toner that is produced by mixing the deteriorated toner in the developing device 10 with the supplied toner and adhered to the developing sleeve 13; a collection means 5 which collects the reversely electrified toner from the holding means 2; a detection means 14 which detects toner concentration in developer in the developing device 10; and a control means 1 which controls the supply of the toner to the developing device 10. When it is assumed that the toner in the developer is deteriorated, the controller controls the supply means 20 to supply the toner to the developing device 10, and controls to stop the supply of the toner to the developing device 10 when the rise state of the toner concentration detected by the detection means 14 nearly coincides with a predetermined reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
