AUTOMATIC BUTT WELDING EQUIPMENT FOR SHEAR-CUT STEEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily weld butted parts in which shear-cut edges not subjected to beveling are directly butted, while preventing omission. SOLUTION: An automatic butt welding equipment for shear-cut steel sheets includes: a butting detection device 22 of spraying detection air to a butting part 13 on a welding vehicle 21 traveling freely along the butting part and detecting the shape of the butting part by the back pressure thereof; precedent welding equipment 23 performing precedent welding in such a manner that the surface root spacing in the butting part 13 is clogged by a small heat input; and subsequent welding equipment 24 which is arranged at the back side of the precedent welding equipment 23 and performs subsequent welding in such a manner that the welding penetration of the butting part is made deep by a large heat input.
