PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of grounding a conductive film while suppressing complexity of a structure. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 100 includes: a pair of substrates to nip a liquid crystal layer 35; a conductive film 36 which is provided on the surface opposite to the liquid crystal layer 35 of the upper substrate 2 of the pair of substrates; and a drive IC 4 which is arranged on the surface on the liquid crystal layer 35 of the lower substrate 1 of the pair of substrates; wherein the conductive film 36 is grounded via the drive IC 4.
