Provided is a cooking device which can rapidly increase the temperature of a tray when it is determined that an object to be heated is frozen. The cooking device has a tray (31) provided with a high-frequency absorber (33) which generates heat by irradiating a heating chamber (11) for containing an object (M) to be heated with radiation heat emitted from a radiation heat supply unit (15) functioning as a heat source and high-frequency waves generated from a high-frequency supply unit (13), and an antenna (37) for transmitting high-frequency waves oscillated by the high-frequency supply unit (13) to the heating chamber (11). A control means (25) supplies radiation heat and high-frequency waves to the heating chamber (11) by dielectric heating generated by radiation heat and high-frequency waves, and operates the antenna (37) so as to rapidly increase the temperature of the tray (31) when it is determined that an object to be heated is frozen. Thus, the top and the bottom of an object to be heated can be browned by one heating operation in a short period of time, without requiring any additional operations in a period from the start of heating to the end of heating.
