<p>Disclosed is a vehicle deceleration energy recovery device that can efficiently recover kinetic energy of a vehicle and that can have a small mechanical configuration of the device. The energy recovery device (24) is provided with a two-stage stepped transmission mechanism (32) as a portion of a power transmission route between a drive wheel (22) and a flywheel (30), and so the mechanical configuration of the deceleration energy recovery device (24) is smaller than one provided with a belt-type continuously variable transmission or the like instead of the stepped transmission mechanism (32). As a result, it is easier to mount the deceleration energy recovery device (24) in a vehicle (8). Also, the stepped transmission mechanism (32) is at least a two-stage transmission, and so compared to one with a fixed reduction ratio, by means of switching the reduction ratio (?R), the transfer of kinetic energy between the drive wheel (22) and the flywheel (30) can occur within a wider range of input/output rotational velocity ratios of the stepped transmission mechanism (32), and it is possible to efficiently recover kinetic energy of the vehicle (8).</p> |
