<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of protecting a photoreceptor drum when opening an opening/closing cover, sending cooling air from a cooling duct to a conveyance path when closing the opening/closing cover, and further achieving reduction of the number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: A protection mechanism of the image forming apparatus moves to a position where it covers the opening/closing cover side of the photoreceptor drum when opening the opening/closing cover, moves to the upside of the photoreceptor drum when closing the opening/closing cover, and utilizes restoring force relative to deformation of a sheet member for the movement of the sheet member when closing the opening/closing cover, so that the photoreceptor drum is surely protected when opening the opening/closing cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
