<p>The invention relates to an expansion anchor (1) comprising an expansion sleeve (5) that can be expanded by the insertion of an expansion cone (2). The aim of the invention is to reduce the wall thickness of the expansion sleeve (5) with an annular step (9) on a front edge (7) facing the expansion cone (2). To this end, the expansion sleeve (5) comprises an edge (10) extending in the peripheral direction on the front edge (7), and an edge (11) extending in the peripheral direction on the annular step (9), said edges being pressed into a borehole wall when the expansion sleeve (5) is expanded by the cone (2). This improves the anchoring of the expansion anchor (1) in a borehole. The invention is also advantageous in that the axial fixing of the expansion sleeve (5) in the borehole is improved, thus then improving a post-expansion behaviour during the enlargement of the borehole as a result of crack formation.</p> |
