PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion-conductive glass material that is suitable as a solid electrolyte material for a secondary battery, capacitor or gas sensor. SOLUTION: For the glass material, ultrarapid cooling is used to form ionic glass where constituent component ions are present as isolated ions. The ionic glass is next compounded with an ionic liquid by mixture with mechanical energy added at room temperature to form the high ionic conductivity glass material.
