<p>The implant has an implant body (10) inserted into human jawbone, and an implant support (11) inserted into the body, where the implant is made from ceramic material e.g. zirconium or aluminum ceramics, or metal e.g. titanium or stainless steel. A coupling unit (22) has a dental prosthesis i.e. bridge pier, and arranged on the support. The body has a conically-inwardly tapered blind hole (13) to accommodate a retaining section of the support. An area engaged into the jawbone is provided with a coating (25) e.g. plasma coating, made from ceramic material, where the coating has a rough surface. The coating is applied on the area of the implant through plasma spraying of zirconium oxide-spraying powder and binding medium e.g. silicon dioxide. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an implant.</p> |
