PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shank and footwear having the same, capable of easily changing or retaining the shape of a sole without largely changing the structure of the sole itself. SOLUTION: The shank 3 includes a front part 3a corresponding to the front part of a foot, a center part 3b continuously formed from the front part 3a and corresponding to the center part of the foot, and a rear part 3c continuously formed from the center part 3b and corresponding to the rear part of the foot.
