PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester which can accurately grade treated materials with a chaff sieve, even when a threshing work state is a state of reaping and threshing work or a state of manual threshing work. SOLUTION: The combine harvester 1 is characterized by including a chaff sieve actuator 130 for adjusting the opening of a chaff sieve 53, a discharged straw quantity detector 160 for detecting a discharged straw quantity, a treated material detector 163 for detecting the quantity of treated materials on the chaff sieve 53, a threshing work state detector 120 for detecting a state of reaping and threshing work and a state of manual threshing work, and a controller 12 for controlling the chaff sieve actuator 130 to change the opening of the chaff sieve 53 from a predetermined standard value, wherein the controller 12 controls the chaff sieve actuator 130 on the basis of the detection value of the discharged straw quantity detector 160, when the work state is the state of reaping and threshing work, and controls the chaff sieve actuator 130 on the basis of the detection value of the treated material detector 163, when the work is in a state of manual threshing.
