Disclosed is a game toy that inexpensively provides playing pieces, which are to be used in a game, with a driving force for making the playing pieces advance and that allows various types of games to be played by using such playing pieces, to thus provide children with fun-to-play games that involve creativity, cooperativeness, and competitiveness. The game toy including playing pieces and a game board comprises: playing pieces (4a, 4b) each made up of a two- or three-dimensional body (5) and sliding feet (6a, 6b) that are formed on the body (5) and that are made of elastic elements; and a game board (1) having vibration sources (7a, 7b) arranged thereon. In the game toy, the playing pieces (4a, 4b) are used in a manner such that the playing pieces are placed on the game board (1) and are driven by the vibration of the game board (1).
