PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored object colored in metallic tone with minute concave and convex impression and its production process. SOLUTION: The colore object 1 bears an undercoat layer 4 as a base layer, a concave and convex layer 5, a deposition layer 6 as a first metal layer, protective layers 7 and 8 in this order from the side of substrate 3. Also, the colored object 1 is produced by forming the undercoat layer 4 as the base layer, the concave and convex layer 5, the deposition layer 6 as metal layer, the protective layers 7 and 8 in this order from the side of substrate 3.
