<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a terminal device for receiving an input by a pen touch correctly determine an operator's dominant hand (pen-holding hand), and to provide a GUI matched with the operator's dominant hand. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic induction type pen detection part 15 and a electrostatic capacity detection part type finger detection part 16 acquire pen tip coordinates (Xp, Yp) of a pen 3 and palm coordinates (Xh, Yh). When the pen tip X coordinate Xp is smaller than the palm X coordinate Xh, the terminal device sets a GUI for right handedness, and when the pen tip X coordinate Xp is larger than the palm X coordinate Xh, the terminal device sets a GUI for left handedness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
