PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printing speed while suppressing bleeding between inks. SOLUTION: A printer includes a plurality of heads for printing an image in a medium by discharging inks in each color to a medium and for respectively discharging an ink at position where a predetermined direction differs, a moving mechanism for moving the medium and a plurality of heads in a predetermined direction relatively, and an operating section for calculating an amount of ink discharge from each head which is discharged when printing the image. Based on the discharge amount calculated by the operating section, the position in the predetermined direction for discharging the ink of each head is changed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
