<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle that can make a driver surely possess a mobile terminal upon driving, the terminal allowing the charging status of a battery to be checked. <P>SOLUTION: The electric vehicle includes a control unit 17 that is configured to be wirelessly connectable to the mobile terminal 63 which allows the charging status of the battery to be checked. The control unit includes a mobile terminal detector 61, a battery residue detector 55, an occupant detector 53, a mobile terminal take-in failure determiner which determines the take-in failure of the mobile terminal when the mobile terminal is not detected when it is detected that the occupant has got in the vehicle, an alarm necessity determiner which determines whether an alarm is necessary or not when the take-in failure of the mobile terminal is determined, and an alarm 40 or the like which issues an alarm to the occupant when it is determined that the alarm is necessary.
