<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing toner deterioration by performing color toner consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes an arithmetic processing part 132 and an output control part 138. The arithmetic processing part 132 calculates the printing rate of a color image that is the ratio of a print of a color image per all prints of a black monocolor image and the color image. Therein, in the output control part 138, first, the printing rate of the color image calculated by the arithmetic processing part is compared with the preset threshold. Then, the output control part outputs an output of monochromatic mode after an output when the print rate of the color image gets to the threshold or less reaches a prescribed amount as a black image formed by color overprint of at least the color toners. By performing not the black output according to black toner only but the black output according to color overprint using the color toners, the color toners of which the printing rate is deteriorated are forcibly used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
