PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically elevating type storage cabinet unit which can be stopped to improve safety when the storage cabinet during elevating comes into contact with an obstacle, or when an overloading occurs, and for which a high sensing accuracy can be obtained without performing a complicated control. SOLUTION: This electrically elevating type storage cabinet unit includes an external case 1 of which the bottom surface is opened, the storage cabinet 2 which is installed to be freely elevatable through the bottom surface of the external case 1, at least one traction belt 3 which suspends the storage cabinet 2 from the external case 1, a motor 4 which makes the storage cabinet 2 elevate by taking up or rewinding the traction belt 3, at least one sensor means 22 which detects the load which is applied to the traction belt 3, and a control means which stops the elevation of the storage cabinet 2 when the detected value of the sensor means 22 has exceeded a set range.
