PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply hydraulic fluid to hydraulic equipment provided on a cylinder head while suppressing complication of the structure of the cylinder head. SOLUTION: This piping structure for an engine 1 introduces the hydraulic fluid to a second cam phase changing mechanism 31 through an oil passage formed by opening a hole in the cylinder head 2. In the piping structure, two opening portions 56, 58 are separately formed in the cylinder head 2, a pipe 57 having both ends inserted into the openings is provided in a range surrounded by a cylinder head cover covering the cylinder head 2, and the pipe 57 is used as a part of an oil passage introducing the hydraulic fluid to the second cam phase changing mechanism 31.
