<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic electroluminescent element excellent in luminous efficiency and durability, and the organic electroluminescent element low in drive power voltage and little in chromaticity change when driven with high luminance, and temporal chromaticity change and temporal voltage rise. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element includes, on a substrate, a pair of electrodes constituted of an anode and a cathode, a light emitting layer disposed between the electrodes, and an organic layer disposed between the light emitting layer and the cathode and adjacent to the light emitting layer, wherein the light emitting layer contains at least one compound including a carbazole structure, and the organic layer which is adjacent to the light emitting layer contains at least one hydrocarbon compound: consisting of only carbon atoms and hydrogen atoms; having a molecular weight in a range of 400-1,200; and having a condensed polycyclic skeleton of 13-22 in total carbon number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
