A graphite film showing an extremely low average tear load frequently suffers from various problems such as splitting, weaving, wrinkling and poor dimensional accuracy in the course of producing and processing the same. However, these problems can be overcome by using a graphite film satisfying the following requirements: 1) having an average tear load, determined by Trouser test method in accordance with JIS K7128, of 0.08 N or less; and 2) showing a sag of 5-80 mm inclusive in a film windability evaluation test in accordance with JIS C2151.
