<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a light diffusing structure in a plastic portion of a work which is widely used for an indoor or outdoor lighting instrument or part, display components of various instruments or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming the light diffusing structure in the plastic portion of the work to diffuse light emitted by an LED element 12, in which there are used a transfer mold whose molding surface has the same shape as that of the surface of the plastic portion of the work for the light diffusing structure to be formed on and a molding device composed of a pair of openable and closable molds where the work and the transfer mold are arranged respectively, comprises forming a fine pattern adapted to the light diffusing structure 11 on the molding surface of the transfer mold, arranging the transfer mold 14 on which the fine pattern is formed on one of a pair of the molds constructing the molding device, arranging the work on another one of a pair of the molds, pressing the transfer mold and the plastic portion of the work under a heating condition by operation of the molding device, and transferring only the fine pattern 19 to the surface of the work. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
