The chuck has an extension socket (110) for clamping a tool e.g. drilling tool, by extension, where the extension is restorable by delivery of fluid and spacer holes (102, 112) conduct the fluid. A piston chamber (103) receives the fluid, where the piston chamber is connected with the extension socket over the spacer holes. A draw bar (104) is formed in such a manner that a volume of the piston chamber is reduced by movement of the draw bar and is increased by another movement of the draw bar, where the former movement is directed opposite to the latter movement.
