<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating chemical pollution, wherein a purification period is reduced and sure and safe purification is made possible for contaminated water such as ground water contaminated by chemical substance like organic chlorine compound and aromatic hydrocarbon, in treatment using persulfate. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for purifying chemical pollution, wherein chemically contaminated water is purified by adding persulfate thereto. Before purifying contaminated water by adding persulfate, the pH of the contaminated water is set to≤5 and then aeration treatment is performed with a gas other than carbon dioxide, thereby removing or reducing inorganic carbon dissolved in the contaminated water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
